I've always taken pride in the fact that I've published my personal contact information for the benefit of our clients and subscribers! When publishing my contact information was first pondered, I worried that I'd never get any sleep, or any serious work completed, if I had thousands of people contacting me daily. The decision was made to give it a try and see what happens, because if I were truly serious about having the responsibility of managing a quality config.com network, it could also be a blessing if there should be a network issue, I'd know about it before the masses, and it'll end up making us look better ;^)

The years have passed into a new decade, and to my surprize, it's proven effective. My brother Billy, shortly before he passed away in Jan. of 2003, asked me if it bothered me that he called me so much.... Just as I was about to say "Geez, you do call a lot", It occurred to me that a couple of those occasions in the early days of expanding our network, there were issues which I was able to resolve before anyone else would experience it. I told him "Billy, you're a great bird dog for sniffing out leased modem network issues! I'd rather have a false alarm, then hundreds of people effected"!

It has been this attitude that has helped us maintain the highest quality network infrastructure, in lieu of 24x7 support hours. These days, we don't have too many network related issues, but in Bill's Memory, I shall continue to publish my personal contact information as long as possible....

I do request that you only call my cell phone if after 11pm EST during the school week so that a ringing telephone doesn't wake my wife or children
